I opened the original image in Bridge, made minor changes in contrast and clarity, and then opened it in Photoshop as a 16 bit RGB image.
The image was then straightened, elarged using Genuine Fractals, and cropped to help focus it on the primary subject matter. I used Neat Image to reduce noise.
Curves and Selective Color adjustment layers were used to increase contrast and correct the colors. I added a slight vignette to the bottom two corners of the image, and then warmed the photo slightly with nik Color Efex. I duplicated the image, changed it to a Smart Filter, and the mode to 8 bits. I added Fresco and Watercolor filters, placed this layer over the original, and reduced its opacity slightly.
I sharpened the image using nik Sharpener Pro, and then saved it as 72 dpi sRGB image for the web.
