In 1981, because he "refused to carry additional camera equipment" my husband Harvey challenged me to get my own camera and photograph our trip to China and Japan. So began a journey of filming and travel that has continued to this day. Unfortunately, I do most of my trips alone these days.

I no longer carry my trusty Olympus and its many lenses. The switch to digital has lightened my
hand-carried luggage and allowed me to get through airport security without begging for
"hand inspection please."

Travel continues to be a big part of my life, but I do love to photograph in my garden and frequently chase butterflies early on summer mornings.
