During the weekend, we will be traveling to several of the local Nature Conservancy sites in the area.

We will have an orientation meeting on Friday evening between 7:30PM and 9:00 PM in the meeting room of the Econo-Lodge.
At that time we will be giving out maps and literature of the areas that we will have access to on Saturday and Sunday. Members will be given details on what they may expect to find in the areas in terms of wild flowers etc and the level of difficulty that can be expected when walking the trails.

At dawn on Saturday morning, May 20th, there will be PSA volunteers stationed at the various conservancy sites to direct members. Parking will be limited. Car pooling is encouraged.

On Saturday afternoon, members will meet again at 1:30PM. It is scheduled to take place in the meeting room on the first floor of the Econo-Lodge. Members will be able to share with others what they found while on their morning excursions.
Meeting is expected to last up to1 1/2 hours. The rest of the day will be free for members to explore the sites around the Baraboo/Wisconsin Dells area.
Examples of other areas of possible interest are the HH Bennett Historic Photography Studio, The North Freedom Railroad Museum (Mid Continent Railway Museum), The Aldo Leopold Shack and Farm and The Crane Foundation. Also close by is Devil's Lake State Park offering many trails and areas of interest.

Sunday morning will again have volunteers stationed at the various sites to guide others to the choice spots. There will be no formal meeting time scheduled this day.

Volunteers wishing to have a sneak preview of the sites (Friday afternoon) guided by Nature Conservancy staff are encouraged to contact Peter Skiba. These volunteers will need to arrive early at a designated site on Saturday and Sunday mornings to guide others to the best spots.
