Marty Welter, APSA started his journey into photography around the age of 12 with a very basic point and shoot camera and has been improving and honing his skills and craft ever since.
Over the past 45 + years, he has photographed everything from fire and accident scenes, construction job sites, general portraiture, equine portraiture, the usual nature, wildlife and landscape/scenic as well as some aerial photography and he is a FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot as well as FAA TRUST Certified.
Most notable has been his work in Professional Rodeo beginning in 1992. Marty earned his PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) Membership Card in 1996 and his PRCA Gold Card Membership in 2017. He has traveled the Midwest capturing rodeos and rodeo life as well as many other equine events including Barrel Races, Cowboy Mounted Shooting and other Cow Horse Events.
Stepping back from rodeos at the end of 2019, he is now concentrating more of his time and work volunteering with PSA (Photographic Society of America) where he is the Wisconsin State Membership Director, The Great Plains Area Membership Director and Nationally, a PSA Website Mentor as well as the official PSA Photo Festival Photographer. Marty also stays involved locally in camera clubs in Central Wisconsin when he isn't out photographing.
