Exhibition Update

EXHIBITION!

Time is ticking for getting your prints ready!

As announced previously, PSA WI Chapter is scheduled to exhibit photographs at Inspiration Studios for the month of June 2024.

Images should be no larger than 16 x 20 inches, with a frame. You may print on metal or canvas, if you choose. All images must have a wire across the back for hanging. A maximum of three images per maker. If we don’t have enough images, we may make another call for images but Inspiration Studios has a lot of room to hang images. The theme is Wisconsin, Our Beautiful State. All images must be taken in the state of Wisconsin.

Erico Ortiz is the owner of Inspiration Studios. You can sell your images if you want. Erico will handle all transactions but, will keep10% of the sale. He also appreciates donations of images for his raffle. If you have a print, matted, framed or not, Mr. Oritz would love to raffle it off. The proceeds will go to the support of Inspiration Studios.

If you want to sell your images, please mark the back of your image with your name, image title and price. Please email this information to me as well, at trekkielaw@aol.com or gmail.com. I will be making up stickers with this information and a spreadsheet for Mr. Ortiz.

If you are attending the spring outing, you can bring your prints and I will bring them back to Milwaukee with me. If you are not attending the spring outing, you can make arrangements with either Linnea Matthiesen or Marty Welter to meet and exchange the prints.

This is a great way to show the state what PSA WI is about. We would like for this exhibition to travel within Wisconsin. We are looking for two other galleries that could exhibit our images. It would be nice if the galleries are in different areas of Wisconsin. If you know of a gallery that would exhibit our images, please let Linnea Matthiesen or Marty Welter know.

We hope to make this a traveling exhibition so we are working on the next location to move the prints to after the show at Inspiration Studios. If you know of a gallery space in your area (outside of South East Wisconsin), let us know and we can work on setting something up.

Print Submissions

Start colleting your images, you can submit 2 - 3 images with no size limits (within reason) but they must have a wire hanger and be ready for hanging whether they are framed, mounted or just a canvas, metal or acrylic print. If you want, you can keep the same theme from the West Allis exhibit from this past June, which was Wisconsin, Our Beautiful State.

If you are in North and Central WI, you can contact Marty to arrange delivery and if you are in Southern WI, you can contact Linnea to arrange delivery.

Currently you can submit up to 3 photos.

By February 3rd deadline, provide via email the image(s) name(s) and cost if selling and value if not for sale (please indicate NSF), along with 300 dpi digital image for consideration for the invite. Exhibitors will also need to submit a short bio written in the 3rd person. This deadline is in advance of the actual deadlines from Alexander House in the event that we need additional photos or have too few/too many images and or need to coordinate anything.

Images displayed at Alexander House must be wired hung, regardless of the format, i.e. framed, canvas, acrylic, metal, etc.

We will need all prints received no later than March 22nd, giving us time to get them to Alexander House for hanging.

Pick up of prints will be after May 6th and if you will be going to Dubuque, it might be possible for us to bring your prints to you there.
