2023 - 2025 Teams Challenge

Teams Challenge Outline

WHO: All PSA Chapter members who are in good standing may participate in the TEAMS CHALLENGE.  If a member joins prior to the TEAMS CHALLENGE, they are invited to submit images up to the deadlines prior to them joining.  If a member drops prior to the TEAMS CHALLENGE, their images are eliminated.

TEAMS captains will be determined, as well as the selection of TEAMS, at the November Chapter meeting.

WHAT:  Participants should take images that they feel fit the 21 categories and the definitions of the categories.  These images should be sized to a max of 2100 on longest side.

At the final competition, of the 21 categories, no more than 3 can be by the same maker.  One image per category per TEAMS.  Final determination may be made by the TEAMS captain.

Images must be taken between March 1, 2023 through January 31, 2025.

HOW:  Submit your images by email to the appropriate TEAMS captain, with your name and category identified for each image.  There will be interim deadlines set for certain categories at each Chapter meeting.

WHEN:  The TEAMS breakouts will take place regularly at the Chapter meetings, or as needed, with the “TEAMS CHALLENGE” to take place in the afternoon of the March 2025 Chapter meeting.

WHERE:  The Chapter meets on Zoom.

WHY:  Just because…it’s FUN

At the PSA WI Chapter outing in May in Marquette, MI, members in attendance overwhelmingly voted to continue the Teams Challenge activity. This is an interclub competition/scavenger hunt that takes place over a two-year period.

There is a list of 21 categories and one maker can only have three images out of the 21.

At the end of the two-year period (3/1/23 to 3/1/25), the two teams will battle it out. Judges pick the best in each category and the team with the most wins is declared the winner.

If you want to be a part of a team for the 2023 – 2025 Teams Challenge, please let Gerry Hying (ghyingphotographs@gmail.com) or me (trekkielaw@aol.com) know by the January 2024 meeting. We will be picking teams, randomly, at that meeting.
